The Brazilian ambassador in Tehran, stating that Petrobras has focused the bulk of its activities on Brazil's oil industry, announced the closure of this oil giant's office in Tehran and declared that Petrobras currently has no intention of returning to Iran's oil industry.
According to the Afkar news, Santiago Irazabal Mourao talked about the possible return of the Brazilian company Petrobras to oil and gas industries of Iran after a preliminary agreement between Iran and the 5 +1 countries. He said that Petrobras has currently dedicated the bulk of its activities to the development of Brazil's oil and gas industry.
The Brazilian ambassador in Tehran announced that Petrobras has initiated a wide range of activities to develop some of the Brazilian offshore oil and gas fields in deep water. According to this, he stated that the development of domestic activities of Brazil's oil and gas industry is the priority of Petrobras.
Emphasizing the fact that Petrobras has no plan of working on Iran's oil and gas industry, he asserted that its foreign and international activities have also decreased.
